SQL Server Optimization

The SQL Service Optimization Package offers an efficient and worry-free approach to SQL server maintenance. This Lynx service includes three components listed below which together will provide maximum server speed and increased data security.

Components and Benefits:

  1. SQL Maintenance Plan

    Enhances the performance of the SQL Server by:

    • Freeing unused space on the database;
    • Limiting the growth of the log file (one time set up);
    • Re-indexing the database indexes;
    • Providing an automated weekly process;
    • Including easy one time installation & client training.

  2. Increased Automated Backup Script

    This component ensures data security, control and convenience by:

    • Providing a complex SQL script which can backup multiple SQL Databases;
    • Saving the backup databases to a location configured by the IT Admin;
    • Automatically labeling backup for ease of identification;
    • Automatically deleting the old backups at client specified intervals;
    • Automatically completing this backup process on a daily basis;
    • Providing a fully automated system after a simple one time configuration.

  3. SQL Server De-fragmentation Script

    Improves the speed and performance of your server by:

    • Providing a script to complete the SQL server de-fragmentation;
    • Automatically running every 3 or 6 months depending on company size;
    • Providing a fully automated system after a simple one time configuration.
The above scripts/procedures run on the server where SQL Server 2005 Express or Standard/Enterprise have been installed. The procedures must be completed in the order listed above.
